Dresser Disaster....really!
I needed a break from all that crown molding drama in my master bedroom. It was time to get off the ladder, and change projects. Do you do that.....start one, and switch it up with another? I like to tell myself that it keeps me from getting bored. Who are we kidding...it's ADD! The only thing that makes me ok with it, is most creative people I know, have it.
a closer look
They are not working for me. First, they are a bit too tall. Next, they are a little bit country. Why am I hearing Donny Osmond say, "and I'm a little bit rock n' roll"?
I did not think that paint alone would solve these problems
See all the rounded edges, that will look awful painted my vision of mint. So, I started to hack away
By removing the bottom skirt, it brought the dresser down to the perfect height. Then, I started trying to square up the drawer fronts
And this is where it ends. It's ugly! I do not want to invest one more second of my time into this piece. Sometimes you just need to know when to fold em.
On another note, I want to say thanks to my friend Jennifer. She wrote the nicest piece about me. I bet you would not have put us together?
Have you had any DIY disasters lately?
I'm Feeling Minty
So, maybe it is the all the blog posts showing mint...or summer....either way....I am feeling the love for mint! In fact, that dresser dilemma of mine....I think it should be mint.

Maybe I should sit back and have a mint julep and ponder a while....
Have you been bitten by the mint bug? Are you into mint?
Dresser Dilemma
My bedroom nightstands need updating. I was too lazy to upload a picture, but I have a pair of Country/Colonial chest of drawers flanking my bed. They are super boring, a bit dated and I don't like them.
They look something like this
This is a $3,300. dresser....minus the mirror....can it be DIY-ed? What do you think?

Thanks for the picture |
Just like the picture above, the bottom of mine are not flush to the floor. I just don't feel like buying new ones. Do you ever get tired of spending money on "stuff"? Besides, I am trying to save for a pool. Not that long ago, Elizabeth was rambling on about her night tables (E ~ I can't find your post)...she and I exchanged a few ideas, and here is what I am thinking
