Blue and White Bash Day
Today, I am over at The Pink Pagoda linking up to the Blue and White Bash.
I'm linking up my entry. The blue and white in this image was purchased through Jennifer's store.
If you are looking for lovely images today, The Pink Pagoda will have an abundance of them. Also, if you have anything blue and white to share, come link up with us.
I'll be looking for you.
One Room Challenge - Week 2
Nothing makes the weeks fly by faster than a challenge. If you are returning from last week, thanks for coming back. If you are new here, you can start at the beginning of the One Room Challenge here.
Also, tomorrow is link up day for all of you playing along. There are over 70 of you!
This week was all about fabric. I know I have told you many times that I am obsessed with Meg Braff. I love this sofa so much....

I am having my love seats reupholstered to look just like it. You can read about that crazy story here.
Finding the perfect shades of blue was not going to be easy. I did a bit of running around on my own and got really frustrated. I enlisted the help of Jennifer, a woman that knows her shades of blue better than anyone else. She found them....of course.
The fabric is by a company called Outdura. It's an indoor-outdoor fabric. It is also hard to find. For that, I enlisted the help of my super fun and funny designer friend, Sherry. She was quite reassuring when she said she had never heard of this company. After a bit of research, her sources said six week delay!
Since that was not an option, I started an online hunt. Luckily for me, I found a place that had it in stock. Next up, was this fabulous stripe
Layer them together, and you have this
I really wanted a large scale floral. I fell in love with this Thibaut fabric.
Back to Sherry, man that woman must be sick of me...... but she came trough. Thanks Sherry! And when everything is together, you now have this
The final fabric is my custom Spoonflower fabric, and that is in the mail.
The love seats were picked up on Monday, and the floral was put in the mail to Leslie, my favorite pillow maker. That's it for me this week......
**Update, for week 3, go here**
Now let's go see how everyone else did

One Room Challenge, Week 1
Welcome to the One Room Challenge (aka #PizzaForDinner). This is a semi-annual event where 20 design oriented bloggers transform a room of their own, from start to finish. For the next six Wednesday's we will be giving you updates on our room progress.
This time, you can play along with us. Starting tomorrow, you can link up your space and finish it over the next six weeks.....just in time for the Holiday's!
Here are the fabulous blogs participating:
Since we are moving to Florida, I wanted to transform a space that would have a big visual impact when we list our home for sale. I also wanted most of my energy and $$$ invested in things that will move with us.
I finally gave away that huge sectional in my living room. My friend's sister lost everything in Hurricane Sandy. The sectional was in fantastic shape and she really wanted it....done!
I heard she makes her kids wash their hands before they sit on it so it will stay nice and clean...love that :).
All of the furniture you are looking at was moved into my living room. It fills that space better than this one. This is a better shot of how the furniture did not fit the space.

Now that you mention it, I did not hang a chandelier, either....we are keeping it real over here.
On the opposite wall sits our biggest argument in this home. My husband, who has nothing to say about anying in this home..... has a lot to say about this dinosaur of a computer. He refuses to have a conversation about getting rid of it. My son is the only one who uses it.
So last week, I found out that it can be made wireless and I will be relocating it to the basement. Visual problem solved.
And now for my plan
This is the direction I am headed.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you come back next week. If this looks like fun, join us.
Here are the updates from the original post
Now let's go see what the others are working on. Believe it or not, we really don't tell each other much before this starts, so this is a surprise for me too...
Blue and White on Display
I am always looking for ways to infuse more blue and white into my home. I have been drinking the blue tea, and I am hooked. I also think it is perfect for coastal, traditional and eclectic decor.

On Monday, I will be linking this post to Jennifer's Blue and White Bash.
I hope I'll see you and your blue and white post there. I have a feeling there will be a lot of pinning going on.
Have you sprinkled any blue and white around your home?
Real Estate Eye Candy
I think I may be starting a series.....or not. Last Monday, I was showing you a home that made me want to start over. As expected, that was good until the next one came along.
Just like a bad Jennifer Aniston movie (sorry Jen, but other than you...why would anyone go?) there will always be others.
I think I fell hard with the Chippendale detailing on the gates. That double brick drive with the grass insert leading to the front door is making me want to explore the home further.
I have always loved long stairways that wrap around a foyer....the thought of climbing those stairs is not as appealing.
Abundant white trim and millwork.
I love the drapery panels on the right and the roman shade on the left.

It's cool and crisp today.....isn't it August? Looks like Mother Nature is still mad at me.
I'm off to do laundry and spray painting. What are you up to?

And just like that cute boy, the behind is as nice to look at as the front :).
