White Bricks & Links

One of my new favorite exteriors (I know it's not new, but new to me is new...to me) is white painted bricks. Someone can do a grammar check to see if any of that sentence is remotely correct, I'm busy and people don't read they only look at the pictures (fact).

It may be because I probably won't be finding a home like this or this in Florida. Those posts led to an argument with my dad over property and lot size.....the argument was crazy (aren't all parent/adult child arguments crazy?), but It was nice to hang up (literally) and know that he reads my blog!

I would love to find a brick home, but it will probably be stucco (Florida) and paint it white!

Black Shutters, for sure.

A metal roof, why not.

Boxwoods, you know it.

A little fretwork, works for me.

What do you think? Be honest....weren't you shocked to hear that my dad reads my blog? Hi Marty!

Here are a couple of fun links for your weekend reading.

If you have ever wondered how to get noticed, you may not want to try this marketing idea, but it worked.

If you are eagerly awaiting Downton Abbey, Simply June has some pictures from Season 4.

Be nice, don't fight.

We're Moving!

Knock me over, looks like we will be moving....again! Apparently, the thing that brought us here...my husband's job....is the same thing that will be relocating us to Florida.

The West Coast area near Naples.

Here is my story in arrows...I moved to San Francisco to be with my husband. His job took us to London and then New Jersey. We thought we would be here until retirement.

You know what they say when you make plans.

We have one year to eighteen months before we relocate. I'm happy about that because it will take a year to finish this home and stage it to perfection! I also know nothing about the West Coast of Florida.

I am going to miss my amazing friends. I have the most supportive and loving friends a girl could ask for. Hopefully Florida in the winter will be on their destination list.

I am also going to miss my beautiful home. I love this home and have tweaked every inch of it. I will definitely need a "new project" home to replace this one. Regardless of what the other three people who live with me think.

I will not miss this

Everyone who knows me is aware of how much I hate the winters....except for my dad. He thinks they don't bother me ?!@&

Here's where you come in. I need your help.
What do you know about this area?

For the moment, let's leave the school system out of it. Assuming my kids go to private school, where do I want to live? Where would you live?

Do you know any Florida bloggers?

I couldn't resist...I just can't stay off of Craigslist. In fact, it isn't bad enough that I hunt for things I really don't need in my area.....I hunt for things elsewhere.

If I lived in Palm Beach....I would buy these

This mirror is $10. That hurts!  Someone run fast.

Legoland Florida

Last week, the kids had a break from school....so, doing what East Coast people do....we went to Florida. I think it was the best weather we have had in February. Among the many things on our adventure (not Mickey), we went to Legoland. My son and I love to build with lego. Our new obsession is Nanoblocks. In fact, he recently made this one for me and I put it in my china hutch (it is only 3" tall).
Here is a glimpse into our adventure

The Beginning

All you keep telling yourself is.....that's all made from lego? Have you ever been to Legoland? Where do you take your kids when they are on a break?
