One Room Challenge, Week 3
Well here we are already, at week three of the One Room Challenge. If you are visiting for the first time, I am transforming my mudroom into a pretty and functional space. You can start at the beginning, here.
This week flew by. The progress on my wall treatment is slow and steady. Vinney and his crew are here painting away. Since outdoor painting season has begun, I won't let him leave until he has painted a few other rooms for me, too.
Finding the perfect pillow(s) for my bench was becoming an impossible task....definitely a version of the Three Bears...too small, too big....and noting was just right.

I decided to go custom with a Dash & Albert rug fabricated into a pillow. I am working with my favorite pillow designer and home stager, Leslie. You may remember that Leslie made the beautiful pillows in my family room. I love working with her because she is always up for whatever crazy ideas that come to mind.
I am using one of these rugs.
I also wanted a ceramic garden stool in my mudroom. Lamps Plus has an amazing selection and was kind enough to provide me with one. I think this was the toughest decision, to date. I could not believe the selection. Here are some of my favorites that are available.

Do you have a favorite? The one I picked is even more beautiful in person.
That's it for this week, now let's go see what the other's accomplished. I saw a slab of marble and a few other goodies on Instagram #OneRoomChallenge.
Thank you One Room Challenge Sponsors;
And I'll see you back here tomorrow for the Linking Event.
One Room Challenge - Week 5
Hi and thanks for coming back. This is week five of the One Room Challenge.
Tomorrow is link up day for those of you playing along. If you want to see some sneak peaks, go on Instagram and put in #1roomchallenge or #OneRoomChallenge....there is an abundance of talent and inspiration out there.
I think I may be in denial that next Wednesday is the last post. I have a lot more work to do between now and then. My UPS man, Steve (yes, I know his name), was busy with deliveries this week.
Let me show you what arrived.
Leslie at Pillow Love did an amazing job with the Thibaut fabric. The quality of her work is perfect and her prices are reasonable. As you can see, she will work with your own fabric, too.
My window seat cushions were sent out and have returned. I love the crisp clean white. The blue piping is the same fabric used on the love seats.
When I sell my home, do I need to leave the cushions?
The talents of my friend Jennifer never cease to amaze me. In the last challenge, she designed this custom fabric for me. This time she made four original prints that look like hand painted watercolors.
I know!!! The Talent Fairy gave her an extra sprinkle...and I was clearly absent that day. She hasn't decided if she will sell them in her store. I think she definitely should, but feel free to visit her and leave a comment telling her what you think.
I have added to my blue and white obsession collection with a few more pieces from Jennifer's store. I don't think she makes these, but with that much talent, you never know.
A pair of Beaker Vases.
A happy Ginger Jar.
And just to prove that I have been doing more than opening boxes...my window treatment is almost finished.
This is an Ikea hack using the Lenda curtains and my chopped up fabric. If all goes well, I'll have a tutorial up on Monday...no promises.
Now let's go see how the others are doing. I hope I am not the only one a little nervous about finishing.
