House Tour - Before - Kitchen & Baths
Hello! I am happy to report that demolition is in full swing at my future home. I wanted to share the before shots with you. During the home inspection, I tried to document the 80's interior.
Let's start with the master bath.
The second bathroom
The kitchen
Here's a refresher of the plan. Next time, I'll share the bedrooms. Hang onto your vintage hats, it get's better....or I should say, more dated.
Key West Style
I love the
Key West, West Indies, Bahama
....whatever you call it....style! And as of today, fifty letters later, I am not any closer to finding a home. Like I say every week, maybe this will be the week?
Jane's Cafe
Hello Loves...can you believe that it is Monday already? This week, life returns school starts and everyday is no longer Saturday. Speaking of Saturday...my daughter and I had brunch at Jane's Cafe on Saturday.
Last May, I received an email from the mother of a girl my daughters age, welcoming us to the new school. She was very sweet and we put the girls in touch with each other. Once we moved down, the girls met for lunch and a movie....and then everyone became busy with their summer plans.
Over the weekend the four of us met for brunch and the lovely woman is Jane from Jane's Cafe. The four of us sat and talked for over two hours. Jane is British and both our daughters were born in the UK.
And now the food.....
I thought it would be odd to start snapping pictures while getting to know my new friend, so I found these on Instagram #Janescafe #Janesrestaurant
The cafe is located in Naples Third Street South district and the food is amazing.
If you are coming for a visit, make sure you stop in for breakfast or lunch, you will be glad you did.
Good luck at school, everyone. See you at Starbucks!
Mecox....Again
I know I have professed my undying love for Mecox Gardens, so it should be no surprise that on my most recent trip to Palm Beach.....I had an uncontrollable desire to visit, again.
This ginger jar looks exactly like my pair.
I could barely contain my excitement when I saw this lucite wave sculpture.
It is identical to the one I brought home from Boston!
I'll be back in about five weeks, Mecox.....wait for me!
Circa Who? Me!
Today, we are heading home after a long weekend in Palm Beach. We went for a visit with my In-Laws. After years of coming so close but never making it.......I finally went into Cira Who!
The store did not disappoint. It is floor to ceiling Palm Beach Chic goodness.
The isles are narrow which made it impossible to shoot pictures straight on.
I found out the name of the company that applies this amazing lacquer finish to the furniture and I'll post on them soon.
I'm so ready to start decorating, again. Unfortunately house hunting is going very, very slowly. For now, I'll just keep planning.
