Jane's Cafe
Hello Loves...can you believe that it is Monday already? This week, life returns school starts and everyday is no longer Saturday. Speaking of Saturday...my daughter and I had brunch at Jane's Cafe on Saturday.
Last May, I received an email from the mother of a girl my daughters age, welcoming us to the new school. She was very sweet and we put the girls in touch with each other. Once we moved down, the girls met for lunch and a movie....and then everyone became busy with their summer plans.
Over the weekend the four of us met for brunch and the lovely woman is Jane from Jane's Cafe. The four of us sat and talked for over two hours. Jane is British and both our daughters were born in the UK.
And now the food.....
I thought it would be odd to start snapping pictures while getting to know my new friend, so I found these on Instagram #Janescafe #Janesrestaurant
The cafe is located in Naples Third Street South district and the food is amazing.
If you are coming for a visit, make sure you stop in for breakfast or lunch, you will be glad you did.
Good luck at school, everyone. See you at Starbucks!

I love this time of year. It's the one time that almost everyone embraces the coastal vibe. I was recently doing some research for an upcoming project and stumbled upon Munger Interiors. I perused their portfolio for what felt like an eternity. Here are a few of my favorite rooms.

Are you feeling coastal?
Coastal Living, Take Me Away
Raise your hand if you have A-N-O-T-H-E-R snow day!
Yes, the call came in the wee hours of the morning. Two teenagers and a dog. Although our driveway gets plowed, or walkway does not. I actually enjoy shoveling it with my son. Since I don't play video games, and know nothing about NASCAR, it is one of the few things that we can do together....and laugh.
Other than the walkway, I am sure there will be a whole lot of laziness going on.
I subscribe to Coastal Living, and because of that I can read it on my iPad too. Magazines on iPads are great for taking screen shots and blogging about them :-).
I am looking forward to reading it end to end.

I know I will miss these days, so I am going to enjoy the time and remind myself that life really is short.
How are you spending the day?
Coastal Tropical
Is anyone else ready for the new year? I love change and the start of a fresh new year is a blank slate. I'll be starting the new year with some changes to my blog. Actually, the tweaking will begin next week, and go on for as long as it takes.
One of the things that I have been dying to change is my blog header. As you all know..... endlessly...by the end of Summer 2014, this will no longer be my home. Since I don't know what my next home will look like, I have decided to create (of course I mean to have other, far more talented, people create) my fantasy home. It's in the works now, and when it is done I will tell you all about it.
My fantasy home style is Coastal Tropical. I thought I was making up a name until I Googled it and found hundreds of images with that name. These are some of my favorites.

Are you Coastal Tropical? What do you call your style?
Please excuse all the wonky (technical term) work that will be taking place on my blog over the next few weeks.
