Sourcing in my head

I love working within the real estate industry of Naples, Florida. I'm fortunate to be able to tour gorgeous homes, meet interesting people, and celebrate lifestyles captured through photoshoots and brochures. One of the occupational hazards of also spending an enormous amount of time within the online design community, is the fact that every time I enter a home I find myself sourcing the decor. Not on purpose. It's like that little voice that never stops talking. You know, the one that provides a continual running dialog. For example, as I enter the family room I may hear "Dana Gibson always looks so fresh," or when I enter a kitchen, it's "nice Breville...the last home had a Nespresso". Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about; I know you do it too.

Last week I attended a property preview party at this stunning Port Royal home. The picture doesn't do it justice. And all I could think was - you can never go wrong with a Currey & Company statement fixture paired with woven rush dining chairs.

I have been inside this beautiful home several times. It's located in the exclusive golf community of Grey Oaks

Upon entering and seeing this.....

My mind went here.

I mean, who would not recognize and appreciate all of the lovely Mid Century Modern furniture?

We are design blog readers, and we live for this stuff.

I know some of you will be thinking....I may have to borrow a few of these ideas.

How is it possible I can remember all of this sourcing but I can't remember where I put my car keys?
